How much does it cost?
Courses are free for everyone, though if we had a large number of people from one area booking, we might have to make alternative provision.
Can I come if I’m a Carer of family member of someone suffering mental health difficulties?
Yes and if you can come with the person you care for better still. We also have a dedicated 7 week course specifically aimed at Carer needs, details of which can be found on the “Our Courses” page.
How do I book onto a course?
You can book by telephone or e mail. See the “How To Book” page for further details.
Will it go onto my notes?
We do not report to any clinical professionals as we are an educational service not clinical.
Do I need to be referred by a mental health professional or GP?
There is no need for any formal referral from anyone. You can just ring up/visit and book.
Will refreshments be provided?
Tea/Coffee is always provided at all courses and where the course runs over a lunch break, there are usually plenty of café’s and sandwich shops available locally. At West London College, there is a snack bar and coffee shop serving hot and cold food open during term times.
Is there wheelchair access?
The Hub in West Ealing is on the ground floor, all on one level, with accompanying facilities. Entrance by wheelchair is best accessed via the Community Shop whose entrance is on the Uxbridge Rd. There is also one disabled car parking space at the Singapore Rd entrance. St Paul’s in Hammersmith has ground floor centre with lifts to the first and lower floors. The college has a ramped entrance and the rooms we use are all on the ground floor.
Can I bring my child?
Our service is currently for adults so it’s not appropriate for under 18’s to sit in on the general courses and we unfortunately cannot provide childcare facilities.
